Warranty Policy & Disclaimer for HD Kits New & Remanufactured Cylinder Heads

Warranty Coverage

HD Kits cylinder heads are warranted against failure due to faulty materials and/or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of invoice. High performance cylinder heads are excluded from this coverage.

Reimbursement of labor costs to remove and reinstall a warrantable cylinder head, as well as reimbursement for subsequent engine damage, will be provided at the limits outlined below — applicable during the first six (6) months from the date of sale.

Warranty Claim Process

All warranty claims require the cylinder head to be physically sent to the HD Kits Warranty Department for examination and approval before any determination of warrantability is made.

Labor Reimbursement

Labor costs to remove and reinstall a warrantable cylinder head will be reimbursed at $60.00 per labor hour, based on the total required hours as quoted by the Labor Time Guide selected by Heavy Duty Kits. The maximum labor reimbursement per claim is $1,500.00 per cylinder head.

Subsequent Engine Damage

If a warrantable cylinder head causes subsequent engine damage, a detailed repair estimate must be submitted to the HD Kits Warranty Department for review and approval. If approved, labor reimbursement will be paid at $60.00 per labor hour as outlined in the MOTORS Labor Time Guide. Replacement parts required as a result of subsequent damage will be covered at actual cost. The maximum total reimbursement for subsequent damage is $5,000.00 per warranty claim.

Replacement Cylinder Head Warranties

Warranties on replacement cylinder heads cover the unused portion of the original warranty only.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover damage or loss caused by abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, improper installation, improper storage or handling, overloading, or use contrary to proper installation instructions.

High Performance Cylinder Heads are excluded from all warranty coverage with the exception of defects in materials and workmanship of the casting. No other or additional warranty coverage is offered for high performance cylinder heads.

This warranty represents the total liability of Heavy Duty Kits for any cylinder head warranty claim.

Heavy Duty Kits makes no other warranty whatsoever, including any warranty of merchantability, warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, or warranty against infringement of intellectual property rights of a third party, whether expressed or implied by law, course of dealing, course of performance, usage of trade, or otherwise.

Heavy Duty Kits does not cover incidental, indirect, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the sale of cylinder heads, including but not limited to physical injuries, property damage, loss of time, loss of vehicle use, lost profits, inconvenience, rental vehicle charges, towing charges, or accommodations resulting from a defect in or failure of the cylinder head.
